European Utility Week 2017: the grass was greener

“An awesome week to charge yourself with knowledge about the energy industry!”Tony Nguyen (Energy Data Scientist)

“It was exciting to be on the sales-side for a change.”Vuk Glisovic (Energy Data Scientist)

Energyworx was present at Energy Revolution Europe which was co-located at European Utility Week in Amsterdam from October 3-5, 2017. European Utility Week (EUW) is the premier business, innovation and information platform connecting the smart utility community.

The energy industry is facing a number of significant challenges in dealing with large and diverse volumes of data enforced by the digital transformation and digitization of assets. In addition, more than 70% of time is spent on data quality challenges before data can be used to create business value. Issues that can have extensive consequences on billing, forecasting and the efficient maintenance of their assets.

Energyworx showed their innovative solutions for these kind of challenges on their booth during European Utility Week. Energyworx has designed and implemented a real-time data sensing and analytics  processing engine with a strong emphasis on data governance and data hygiene metrics this allows utilities to create new solutions such as asset performance management (APM), predictive maintenance, revenue protection(e.g. non-technical losses) and support for automated demand-response programs and constantly being aware of the state of quality of their data.

Whether you want to create a rolling forecast for pricing, instantly detect non-technical losses to find energy theft, detect abnormalities on power quality to prevent outages or use situational intelligence in load prediction models for predictive/preventive maintenance of hotspots in the grid, we have a mix of out-of-the-box unique capabilities required for several data use cases supporting the Energy Value Chain

Many people visited our booth and wanted to touch the back wall, which was covered with real grass. We showed visitors how Energyworx can solve their struggle in making data visible and insightful. The presentation of Edwin Poot, our Chief Visionary Officer on “Enabling the ability to respond to context in real-time, fuelled by a diversity of data.” attracted many attendees!

We are looking forward to next year’s EUW in Vienna! Do you want to be part of the experience?
