What does your work entail?

Energyworx has a vacancy for a full-time Financial Controller to complete its Finance team. As a Financial Controller you are independently responsible for a broad range of financial aspects within Energyworx, like preparing the financial month reports, AR/AP, payments, tax fillings (VAT and Corporate Income Tax) preparing the interim and yearly audit, grants (WBSO and other) cash flow forecast and management, supporting the preparation of the annual budget and also play an important role in administering and controlling the financials of Energyworx which consists of multiple entities in the Netherlands and the US and with payroll in 7 different countries. You will work on a broad range of tasks and responsibilities, such as bookkeeping, tax accounting and creating ad-hoc overviews and reports, being involved in subsidy matters.

You will get the opportunity to liaise with various departments and understand our business. You will work together with, and report to, the CFO who has the end responsibility for the financials.

Who are you?

You are a proactive and clear communicator who works independently and have an enormous sense of responsibility and hunger to learn and grow. You are energetic, and social and have a hard-working attitude, with a passion for figures all financial-related matters.

Background

    • Bachelor or Master degree (HBO/WO) in Finance / Accounting or related discipline;
    • Minimal 2 years relevant working experience;
    • Experience with Excel;
    • Payroll experience is a plus;
    • Experience working with Asperion, Nmbrs, and/ or other bookkeeping systems;
    • Experience in AP/AR, monthly reports, tax filings, and annual accounts;
    • Fluent in Dutch and English, both in writing and verbally;
    • Familiar with working with external parties.
