What does your job entail?

Our product development department has grown rapidly in the past year and with that growth comes the need for new fields of expertise. We are looking for a release engineer who has experience with working in a large (20+) technology team. In this role you will work closely with our scrum and support teams to ensure that our software is released correctly and in line with our definition of done and quality standards.

You report directly to our Engineering Manager.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where every team member is always prepared to help their colleagues. You value quality over quantity and have an interest in test and pipeline automation. Your colleagues describe you as analytical, accurate and easy to work with. You have a flexible approach to your working hours and are able to split your working time between our office in Houten and home. If you see yourself do something more than once you wonder; could I automate this? 

The following skills and technologies are a staple in your toolkit;

  • Strong DevOps / CI / Release Automation background, including version control using Git and GitFlow, Bitbucket Pipelines or similar build automation;
  • Experience with cloud environments and databases; Google Cloud Platform;
  • Some Python programming / QA experience is a plus; Pytest, Pytest-bdd, BDD.

Next to that, you are fluent in English (both verbally and in writing). If you speak Dutch then that is a plus as roughly half our team is Dutch.
