Marcel’s playground for the past 25 years has been the global enterprise software market. Early in his career, he cut his chops at Oracle and MicroStrategy. As a hands-on CEO for the past 15+ years, he’s worked with a number of young and fast-growing companies in Europe and the U.S.

Marcel enjoys “dress down” day, but more often than not you can find him in one of his unique suits, each of which has a specific theme. “Energy” is his favorite (well before he joined Energyworx!), as he is a strong believer in walking the extra mile. Another favorite suit is “Focus”, as life is too short to waste on things that don’t matter – and being focused means getting things done. The meaning of the “FIFO” suit is something that is best discussed over a glass or two of wine…

Marcel gets his energy from a broad range of music, working out, and traveling. Since he’s based both in San Francisco and The Netherlands, plenty of travel is guaranteed.

Marcel is passionate about building great teams, designing the company strategy, and executing the company’s go-to-market plans.
